American Council of Engineering Companies -
ACEC The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) is the
voice of America's engineering industry. Council members - numbering
more than 5,500 firms throughout the country - are engaged in a wide range
of engineering works that propel the nation's economy, and enhance and
safeguard America's quality of life.
Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering - CSChE The
national technical association representing the field of chemical
engineering and the interests of chemical engineers in industry, academia
and government.
Canadian Institute of Steel
Construction - CISC The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction
(CISC) is the national industry organization representing the structural
steel, open web steel joist and steel platework fabricating industries.
CISC operates as a technical, marketing and government relations
organization.
Consulting Engineers of Ontario
- CEO CEO is the recognized voice of consulting engineering in
Ontario. They are a not-for-profit, member-governed association
representing consulting engineering firms in Ontario.
Ontario Society of
Professional Engineers - OSPE The voice of the engineering
profession in Ontario, advancing the professional and economic interests
of the province’s 65,000+ professional engineers by advocating with
governments, offering valued member services, and providing opportunities
for ongoing professional development.
Professional Engineers Ontario
- PEO PEO licenses Ontario's 65,000 professional engineers, and
sets standards for and regulates engineering practice in the province. It
has a statutory mandate under the Professional Engineers Act to protect
the public interest where engineering is concerned. Rigorously educated,
experienced and committed to a Code of Ethics that puts the public
interest first, licensed professional engineers can be identified by the
P.Eng. after their names.
Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers, Inc. - IEEE The IEEE and its predecessors,
the AIEE (American Institute of Electrical Engineers) and the IRE
(Institute of Radio Engineers), date to 1884. From its earliest origins,
the IEEE has advanced the theory and application of electrotechnology and
allied sciences, served as a catalyst for technological innovation and
supported the needs of its members through a wide variety of programs and
services.
