Mr.
Martineau has many years experience as an executive with extensive general
management, operations and engineering experience. His background is in
chemical engineering, however he has been involved with a wide variety of
projects involving the management of multi-disciplinary projects,
including the start-up and operation of numerous petrochemical-processing
units.
Following graduation, Mr. Martineau gained
experience in process control, logistics, plant operation and supervision,
as well as participating in several plant turnarounds. Mr. Martineau held
several positions of progressive responsibility from Systems Analyst,
Process Engineer, Operations Advisor to Senior Process
Engineer.
He joined Tricil (purchased by Laidlaw in
1990) in 1988 as District Manager for the Hamilton-Wentworth Waste
Management contract which included the operation of SWARU (waste
incinerator), the Regional landfill and three transfer stations. In 1991,
Laidlaw's medical waste division was added to his responsibilities
(incinerator and two transfer stations). In 1993 he was named Vice
President and General Manager for Laidlaw's Quebec operations ($100
million/year).
Since 1997, Mr. Martineau has been
President of Andre Martineau & Associates providing technical and
management consulting services to government and private industry in the
areas of wastewater and energy management.
Mr. Martineau joined Byrne Engineering
Inc. in 2002 as General Manager. He is responsible for the overall
management and quality control of all projects. He is fluent in
French.
